Muhammad was not learned (he did not learn to read or write from anyone). This is parallel to the account of the first revelation of the initial verses of Surah al-‘Alaq to Muhammad in the cave of Hira.

We see in Isaiah 29:12: “ And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he says, I am not learned”. The “burden upon Arabia” is God’s covenant to send his Prophet to guide the ignorant Arabs to Islam. We see in the book of Prophet Isaiah 21:13-15: “ The burden upon Arabia. There are many other verses in the bible which talk about this, the only place east of Israel is Arabia, so it can be understood that the glory of the Lord implies Islam. We see in the book of in the book of Prophet Ezekiel 43:4 is says: “ The glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east”. Also, the word Muhammad means “the most praised one” and in this verse it talks about this “holy one” being praised throughout the earth. The “holy one” in this verse implies Muhammad as he was the only one who declared prophet hood after receiving revelation in the cave of Hira in Paran.

His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise”. Paran is also mentioned in the book of Prophet Habakkuk 3:3: “ God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. “From his right hand went a fiery law” is the Qur’an. Further in the verse it says “he came with ten thousand of saints”, this talks about the Conquest of Makkah where Muhammad conquered Makkah with 10,000 of his Sahaba. Muhammad got revelation from God in the cave of Hira, so he is being referred to here. Then on Mount Seir, Isa got revelation and Mount Paran is a mountain in Makkah, the cave of Hira is inside this mountain. The first part of the verse talks about Mount Sinai, where Musa got revelation. It is only an Inspiration that is inspired.” We see in Deuteronomy 33:2: “ And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them”. “I will put my words in his mouth” in the verse is in agreement with the Qur’an 53:2-4: “ Your companion (Muhammad) has neither gone astray nor has erred. both brought a new law from God to their people, both were military leaders and both immigrated. We see many similarities between Musa and Muhammad e.g. Over here “a prophet like you” means a prophet like Musa. It is known that the brothers of the Bani Israel are the Bani Ismail since Ibrahim had two sons, Ishaq/Israel and Ismail, and the Bani Ismail are the Arabs. He will tell them everything I command him”. In the Taurat, Deuteronomy 18:18, a prophecy is mentioned, God tells Musa : “ I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brethren, and I will put my words in his mouth. We also find in the Qur’an 2:146: “ The people of the Book know him (Muhammad ) as they know their own sons but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know.” Although we do not have the original Taurat and Injil with us today due to concoctions and interpolations, we still have access to ancient manuscripts of the Hebrew Bible dating back to as far as the 11th Century BC (Dead Sea Scrolls) and fourth century New Testament manuscripts (Codex Sinaiticus) which inform us of the coming of Muhammad, let us examine the Bible. Allah says: “ Those who follow the Messenger, the Ummi Prophet, whom they find written down with them in the Taurat and the Injil” (7:157). Allah informs us in the Qur’an that Muhammad was mentioned in the previous scriptures.
